A Great Day for Shark Watchers
Sunday, October 14th was a great day at the Farallons. We had multiple shark sightings. Cage divers watched as an 18-foot great white shark cruised by the cage. Topsiders witnessed a great white breach right beside the boat. (A breach is when a shark comes up and out of the water during an attack or "predation" on a seal. ) According to Greg Barron, Director of West Coast Shark Ops for Incredible Adventures, a record number of towels were used. People were rotating in and out of the cage all day, alternating between viewing from the water and the deck.
